Last August, the press covered the SMCP’s visit to our facilities. Below, we reproduce the press release from La Verdad de Murcia newspaper.
A delegation from the Mauritanian Fish Marketing Company (SMCP) visited New Concisa’s facilities in Cieza. The SMCP is responsible for regulating the prices of Mauritanian seafood products, as Mauritania is one of the world’s main fishing grounds. New Concisa, a company with over three decades of experience and specialists in the processing, import, and export of cephalopods and other seafood products, has a branch in this African country. During the visit, relations between both parties were strengthened. Participants included the SMCP’s General Director, Moctar Bouceif, its Commercial Director, Mohamed Mahmoud, and its representative in Las Palmas, Yahya Abbas. They were also accompanied by the Mayor of Cieza, Pascual Lucas Díaz, and the General Director of Livestock, Fisheries, and Agriculture of the Region of Murcia, Francisco José Espejo.
The delegation gained firsthand insight into the production chain and the unloading of containers from Mauritania, as well as New Concisa’s strong commitment to solar energy and sustainability. Specifically, New Concisa’s 2030 Goal is to reduce its carbon footprint to 0%. Currently, a 70% reduction has been achieved.
The Cieza-based company was selected for the Mauritanian delegation’s visit from among numerous national and international companies. This is undoubtedly the reward for daily work that enables annual growth of 30-40%. Another key to the success of the Cieza company is its commitment to quality raw materials obtained from the world’s main fishing grounds. In addition to Mauritania, New Concisa currently has branches in Chile, Peru, and the USA.
