Evolution of figures and roadmap in an increasingly competitive sector
In 2021, New Concisa reached a turnover of €58.2 million, representing a 36.6% increase compared to the previous year, even surpassing pre-pandemic levels from 2019. This recovery has been sustained in the following years, with a strategy focused on channel diversification and international consolidation.
The momentum came mainly from growth in the retail channel and exports, which already accounted for 56% of total sales. This combination allowed 2021 to close with a profit exceeding €3.5 million and an EBITDA of €5.2 million, more than tripling the 2019 results.
Retail and foreign markets: keys to long-term growth
Product development and adaptation to formats for large-scale distribution have reinforced New Concisa’s positioning in supermarkets, especially in Europe and America. The strength of the Horeca channel has also allowed for volume recovery, but it is in retail sales and exports where medium-term growth plans are concentrated.
The forecast estimated at the time—maintaining a growth rate close to 30%—set an ambitious roadmap that has guided investments, processes, and expansion in recent years.
Energy investment: sustainability applied to the production model
In parallel, in 2022, seven photovoltaic systems were installed at the headquarters in Cieza (Murcia), with a total capacity of 2.2 MWp. These facilities provide an estimated annual production of 3,398 MWh, covering approximately 50% of the plant’s energy consumption.
The measure is part of a plan to reduce environmental impact and operational costs. By 2022, a 70% reduction in the carbon footprint had already been achieved, with the goal of reaching net-zero emissions before 2030.
